No not another injury but on the car this morning! There it was – sitting there all smug-like, winking at me, saying ’so, you wanted to live in Australia did you??!’ What the………..this wasn’t in the script There are palm trees at the end of the road and parrots flitting about in the sky and……FROST!
Sigh, roll on summer. I am so over winter. It’s been going on since last October! At least we had heating in England. Why oh why, does a country that has frost not build it’s houses with heating?
OK, I’m not really whingeing – I’m just in shock!
Anyway, Mr Ed is sunning himself in New York this week where the weather is lovely. He working very hard though – trips up the Empire State Building, lunch on the beach, boozy lobster dinner with a mate and shopping in Gap!
Meanwhile I consoled myself with a whole packet of dark chocolate TimTams yesterday

My friend Leslie is from Canada and she too laments the lack of heating- I guess we are just used to it. I chant “chilling makes me thin” through my chattery teeth first thing in the morning. And dark chocolate is very good for you (I heard it on TV, it must be true)

I got a bit of shock this morning too, it has been terribly cold lately. We do have heating here, I promise, but rentals tend to be a bit light on.

I am a bit weird, I love running on cold dark mornings (as long as it isn’t raining) so am pining a bit at the moment.

Did you have to mention the Tim Tams!!!

Frost is pretty and the cold makes you appreciate the warmth that is just around the corner for you. We have passed the longest day here in the northern hemisphere. At least you are not with deb in dunedin where they were sledding down the roads in the city and again most people do not have heat, maybe just a wood stove or an oil fin heater. Any rain yet. Its june here in Whistler and we have had hardly any sun, i would rather have the sun and the cold rather than this ever low lying cloud. yummy chocolate.
